Adoption & Foster Applications

Thank you for your interest in helping the cats of Purrfection Farms! We are a small, independent rescue based in Athens, Ohio. Every cat we save is made possible through the kindness of our fosters, adopters, and supporters. Because we are entirely volunteer-run, we appreciate your understanding as we work together to give these cats the best possible lives.

Adopt

Our goal is to find the best home for every cat—not simply the first applicant.

To help ensure our cats are placed in safe, loving homes, we ask that adopters:

Complete an adoption application.
Provide a veterinary reference if you've owned pets before.
If you don't have a veterinary reference, don't worry! We'll simply spend a little more time getting to know you and may ask to meet you in person or complete a home visit.
Pay a $40 adoption fee, which helps deter ill intent.

If the adoption fee would prevent you from giving a cat a wonderful home, please tell us in your application. We never want finances alone to stand between a great cat and a loving family, and we're happy to discuss your situation.

Foster

Fostering saves lives. By opening your home, you're giving a cat a safe place to decompress, heal, and prepare for adoption.

What we provide:

Starter supplies
Veterinary care for illnesses or injuries
Vaccinations
Spay/neuter surgery
Ongoing support whenever you need it

Because we're a small, independently funded rescue, we do ask that fosters provide everyday necessities—such as food and litter—after the initial supplies when they're able. We understand everyone's situation is different, so if providing these items would be a hardship, please let us know. Our goal is to work together, not turn anyone away who wants to help.
